The human voice in all its complexity and subtlety, speaking directly to you sharing an author’s words – the grief, joy, fear, elation, rapture, terror and exhilaration of their imagination, the characters brought to life, real and unique – this is the magic of audiobook narration.
Choosing the right voice to bring your words to life is the most important decision you will make when creating an audiobook.

We have one of the strictest narrator application and audition processes in the industry. Our narrators have the technical, vocal and performance skills to meet our exacting standards, and your expectations.
What you can expect from us
We make the process easy. First, we discuss your preferences and ask you to complete our character breakdown form. This includes details of every character, their gender, accent, age, attitude, personality. We also discuss the overall feel of the book and your preferred vocal style.
From that information we create a shortlist and send you a recorded extract with several narrators reading the same passage. When you’ve chosen your favourite voice, that narrator supplies a further fifteen minute sample for you to review before recording continues.
Everything is overseen by your project manager to ensure Raconteurs’ signature quality and consistency.
